been too large, heavy and expensive for casual use. All that has
changed. The new folding Kayaks of the Puffin product line are
light (between 7,8 and 12 kg), compact (fits in one 75 cm bag),
and are quite affordable.

Puffin
Kayak. The first really carry-on
Kayak.
With
no suitable folding boat available, recreational users needing
a packable boat were limited to inflatables. The Puffin Kayak
has the convenience features of an inflatable. It also has the
paddling performance of a hardshell kayak and will be an attractive
alternative to slower inflatables.
The
Puffin Kayak is the ideal travel companion. It can be stowed into
a small compartment when not in use, is easy to transport to the
water, and it is a very enjoyable craft to paddle.

The new folding Puffin Kayak offers excellent paddling performance
in a tiny package. With a simple tubular frame and inflatable
flotation elements the Puffin Kayak achieves the efficient lines
of hard hulled kayaks, yet it fits easily into a single 75 cm
duffelbag, even with an optional 4-piece paddle.

At only 9,8 kg the Puffin Kayak is half the weight of other folding
kayaks, and it is the first real kayak that can travel by airline
as a carry-on or fit in almost any RV storage compartment. The
extremely light weight is achieved with high-performance light-weight
materials, yet in all critical areas Puffin Kayaks share the fabrics
and other components of Pakboats' expedition proven folding canoes
- making Puffins very tough and dependable.
Excellent
Speed, Tracking and Stability.
On the water the Puffin Kayak is quick and responsive. The V-shaped
bottom gives it the tracking you would expect in a much longer
kayak, and its stability is excellent. The adjustable seat is
exceptionally comfortable and offers support to make even the
most timid paddler feel secure. An optional spray skirt attaches
around the cockpit and provides shelter from the elements.

Puffin
Swift. The sporty one.
The
Swift is the sportiest model of the Puffi n product line. With
a length of 4,30 m and a reduced width of 64 cm, it is fast and
has an
excellent tracking. An additional structure has been added to
increase stiffness. Like all the other Puffi ns it fi ts in one
small bag (75cm)
and is assembled in a few minutes. With the optional spray skirt
in place, you are well protected from the elements.

Puffin
II.The maximum of flexibility.
The
most versatile Puffin. It can handle two paddlers with gear for
the day or one with enough gear for a week or two. As a solo it
can also be rigged with a deck that will support a spray skirt.
Like the other Puffins the Puffin II is a recreational boat and
is not intended for very rough conditions although waves occasionally
washing over the deck do not pose a problem.

Configured
as a Single-Seater, it is possible to attach a Sprayskirt. The
separate deck makes it much easier to pack gear into the kayak.
Simply remove the deck, load your gear into the boat, and reinstall

Puffin
Sport.Small and smart.
After the redesign the Puffin Sport has dropped a couple of pounds.
It now weighs just under 8 kg and packs into a 60 cm bag! The
aluminum frame gives the Sport a sharp entry and clearly defined
keel, so paddling efficiency is very good for such a small boat.
